We, the undersigned citizens of Canada, call upon the Government of Canada to implement a national Universal Basic Income (UBI) pilot program to study the effects of guaranteed income on poverty reduction, health outcomes, and economic participation.
Prayer (Request)
Therefore, your petitioners call upon the Government of Canada to: 1) Establish a federal Universal Basic Income pilot program in partnership with willing provinces; 2) Allocate adequate funding for a comprehensive 3-year study; 3) Ensure the pilot includes diverse geographic and demographic populations.
